Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, inaugurated the ‘Kshamata Bhawan’ at the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, which is currently celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year of service.
The newly inaugurated “Kshamata Bhawan” will serve as an additional infrastructure facility to support ICAR-NAARM in organizing an increased number of capacity-building programmes for stakeholders, along with educational programmes, including those for students of agribusiness management.

During his visit, the Minister reviewed the progress and future plans of ICAR institutes located in Hyderabad. Appreciating their contributions, he urged the institutes to develop clear roadmaps to achieve national self-sufficiency particularly in oilseeds and millets while enhancing farmers’ profitability.

Earlier, Dr. M. L. Jat, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General, ICAR, interacted with scientists and emphasized the need for out-of-the-box thinking in applying ideas and resources toward advancing scientific research in agriculture.
Dr. Joy Krishna Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries and Agricultural Education), was present during the interaction. Dr Gopal Lal, Director, ICAR-NAARM, also graced the occasion.
