Shri Surya Pratap Shahi Visits ICAR–ATARI, Kanpur

The Minister for Agriculture, Agricultural Education and Research, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Surya Pratap Shahi, visited ICAR–ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone III, Kanpur today, along with senior officials.

Shri Ravindra Kumar, Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Uttar Pradesh; Dr Sanjay Singh, DG UPCAR, Lucknow; Shri K. Vijayendra Pandian, Commissioner, Kanpur and Vice-Chancellor, CSAUA&T, Kanpur; and Dr Raghwendra Singh, Director, ICAR–ATARI, Kanpur, were present during the visit.

The Minister inspected the Natural Farming Demonstration Field at the ICAR–ATARI campus and appreciated the ongoing initiatives on natural farming. He interacted with scientists and staff of ICAR-ATARI, Kanpur and emphasized the importance of effective dissemination of agricultural research and technologies to farmers for sustainable agricultural development. The Minister expressed satisfaction over the efforts of ICAR–ATARI, Kanpur, in strengthening research–extension linkages and promoting farmer-centric innovations in the state.
