Report on Campaign for Balanced Use of Fertilizers under ICAR-ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad

Under the Intensive Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilizers conducted today across the top DAP consuming districts of Andhra Pradesh, namely Anantapur, Bapatla, Guntur, Palnadu, and Prakasam, a total of 5 awareness programs were organized, benefiting 148 farmers. In addition, 2 Kisan Goshti/Field Days were conducted in Guntur and Palnadu districts, covering 55 farmers, while 25 farmers visited KVKs and interacted with scientists and experts for technical guidance.

Through these extension activities, a total of 228 farmers were reached through direct physical contact. The campaign also achieved extensive dissemination through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms, reaching 1,04,062 farmers and stakeholders. Overall, the campaign recorded a cumulative outreach of 1,04,290 beneficiaries, thereby strengthening awareness on balanced fertilizer use, integrated nutrient management, and sustainable soil health practices among farming communities.

On 31.05.2026, under the Intensive Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilizers conducted by 72 KVKs under ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad, a total of 5 awareness programs were organized in Andhra Pradesh, benefiting 148 farmers.

In addition, 2 Kisan Goshti/Field Days were conducted covering 55 farmers, while 25 farmers visited KVKs and interacted with scientists and experts for technical guidance. Through direct extension activities, 228 farmers were reached physically. Demonstration activities included 2 Green Manuring demonstrations and 2 Bio-fertilizer demonstrations to promote sustainable nutrient management practices.

The campaign also achieved extensive dissemination through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms, reaching 1,04,996 farmers and stakeholders, including 1,04,062 from Andhra Pradesh, 374 from Tamil Nadu, and 560 from Puducherry. Overall, the campaign recorded a cumulative outreach of 1,05,224 beneficiaries, significantly strengthening awareness on balanced fertilizer use, integrated nutrient management, and sustainable soil health management among farming communities.
