An interactive meeting, chaired by Shri Sanjay Kumar Pathak, Joint Secretary (Finance), ICAR, with the Heads of Finance and Heads of Administration of Kolkata-based ICAR Institutes, was held on 11 August 2025 at ICAR–National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology (ICAR-NINFET), Kolkata.
Shri Pathak appreciated the technological capabilities of ICAR-NINFET and commended the team for their dedicated contributions to research, development, and technology dissemination.
In his address to the participants, Shri Pathak emphasized the importance of achieving organizational goals through sincerity and commitment. He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to review aspects of financial management, budget utilization, audit paras, settlement of outstanding advances, and user charges. He stressed the need for a robust financial system and highlighted the significant achievements of the Council. He also expressed his gratitude to the Director, ICAR-NINFET, for hosting the meeting.
At the outset, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, welcomed Shri Pathak and provided an overview of the institute’s achievements, including the commercialization of various technologies, development of innovative machines, externally funded projects, publication of research papers, patents obtained, NABL accreditation, and other significant research initiatives. He also showcased the institute’s laboratories, highlighting advanced instruments, research facilities, and specialized equipment used for natural fibre testing and processing.
The meeting was attended by the Heads of Finance and Administration from ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore; ICAR-CRIJAF, Barrackpore; and ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata.
