“Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela - 2022” organized

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins & Gums, Ranchi, Jharkhand in collaboration with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khunti, Jharkhand organized the “Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela - 2022” at the Institute’s Research Farm today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. K.K. Sharma, Director, ICAR-IINRG, Ranchi underlined that the main objective of the Mela is to apprise the farmers about the modern agricultural implements. The availability of the provision for Custom Hiring at the Block Level and Machines at the subsidized rate in the various Government Schemes was also highlighted by Dr. Sharma.

Dr. Nirmal Kumar, Head, Production and Extension Management Division, ICAR-IINRG, Ranchi, Jharkhand stated that by using the machines, one can minimize the cost of cultivation and maximize the profits.

Dr. Niranjan Prasad, Head, Mechanization and Process Engineering Division, ICAR-IINRG, Ranchi emphasized on the relevance of the farm machines / implements in doubling the farmers’ income.

Dr. J. Ghosh, Incharge, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khunti, Jharkhand highlighted the benefits of the integrated farming and production of farm produces on mass level by making large groups at the Village level.

More than 155 participants participated in the event.
