Zonal Monitoring Committee Visits NICRA KVKs of Chhattisgarh

Zonal Monitoring Team under NICRA Project lead by Dr. N. Sudhakar, Chairman visited three KVKs of Chhattisgarh State namely Dantewara, Bhatapara, Bilaspur) during  9th to 12th October, 2018.

At KVK Bhatapara, the team visited NICRA village Bakulahi to observe the technical progress in all the modules as NRM, Crop Production, Livestock and Fishery and Institutional Intervention and also interacted with the farmers of NICRA village Bakulahi.

In Dantewada, NICRA village Heeranar the team monitored various interventions implemented and activates. ZMC members appreciated the work carried out by KVKs under NICRA project in a cluster in IFS model also visited by the Hon’ble President of India. Team suggested for up-scaling the activities of organic farming showcased at NICRA village.

ZMC also visited KVK Bilaspur NICRA village Khargahna and Bhainsajhar where they shown stop dam (bori bandhan), IFS model with fishery, de-silting of the community ponds, sprinker irrigation, kadaknath poultry, etc. Committee members had interaction with KVK scientists, where the Nodal Officer presented the progress of NICRA project.

Zonal Monitoring committee gave valuable suggestions for further improvement and refinement of technologies as per the local needs.
