1st Zonal Meeting on Administrative & Financial Matters Organised

The 1st Zonal Meeting on Administrative and Financial Matters between officers of ICAR Headquarters and ICAR institutes was convened today at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation.

The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. M. L. Jat, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR).

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jat highlighted the importance of collective effort and reaffirmed the philosophy of “One Organisation, One Team, One Narrative.” He highlighted that ‘Response Capacity and Response Time’ are critical elements of the organizational performance. Dr. Jat further emphasised that sustained, people-centric conversations form the core of good governance and, in this perspective, all administrative reforms and process improvements must ultimately translate into better service delivery for farmers and agricultural stakeholders across the country.

Dr. A. K. Nayak, Deputy Director General (NRM) ICAR and Shri Sandeep Sarkar, AS & FA, DARE/ICAR, were also present, along with officers from all concerned divisions of ICAR Headquarters. Directors, as well as administrative and finance officers from the nine participating institutes of the zone, attended the meeting.

The initiative, in line with ICAR’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ vision, aims to strengthen coordination between ICAR Headquarters and its institutes, promote a spirit of teamwork, and streamline administrative and financial governance across the entire ICAR system.

The meeting featured detailed deliberations on key administrative and financial matters, resulting in clear and actionable outcomes aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency, responsiveness, and overall system performance.

The meeting was facilitated by Sh. Vampad Sharma, Director (Admin), and Sh. Sandeep Singh Dudi, Under Secretary (Admin), ICAR Hqrs.
