Plantation Drive Organised at ICAR-CRIDA under Special Campaign 5.0

ICAR–Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad organised a Plantation Drive as part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0, which commenced on 2 October 2025 and will continue till 31 October 2025. The campaign aims to institutionalize the spirit of Swachhata while promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.

As part of the nationwide initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, the staff members of ICAR-CRIDA actively participated in planting saplings within the institute’s campus premises. The initiative encourages individuals to plant and nurture trees in honour of their mothers, symbolizing gratitude and respect while contributing to a greener environment.

During the drive, participants planted a variety of saplings, reaffirming ICAR-CRIDA’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. The event emphasized the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, conserving soil and water, and mitigating the effects of climate change.

The enthusiastic participation of staff members reflected their collective resolve to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier campus, reinforcing ICAR-CRIDA’s dedication to the goals of the Special Campaign 5.0.
