ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management organised the 5th Convocation Ceremony of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agri-Business Management) (PGDM-ABM) today.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Padma Bhushan Awardee Dr R.S. Paroda who is Former Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR, and Chairman, Trust for Advancement of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi.
Dr A Janaiah, Vice Chancellor, PJTAU, Hyderabad, Mr. N K Rajavelu, CEO-Crop Protection Business, M/s Godrej Agrovet Limited and Dr Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary DARE and DG, ICAR were the Guests of Honor during the ceremony. Around 176 students from 2021-23, 2022-24, and 2023-25 batches were conferred with their diplomas.
Dr. Paroda congratulated the degree-receiving graduates and called them to work for the betterment of the farming community.
Around 400 members, including all the NAARM faculty, Staff members and parents of the students attended the ceremony. Toppers of the batches were awarded with Gold Medals and Director’s Medals. Ms. Alana Raphy, Ms. Samhitha Padhi and Ms. Seeram Supriya were the Gold Medalists and Mr. Umnag Kumar Shyam, Mr. Vinay Kumar and Mr. Monish Gowda received Director’s Medal.
Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Director, Academy and Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, conferred diplomas to the graduating students. The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Gopal Lal, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM.
