Virtual Sensitization - cum – Review meeting on “Out scaling of Natural Farming through KVK’s

Virtual Sensitization - cum – Review meeting on Natural Farming project entitled “Out scaling of Natural Farming through KVK’s” has been organized by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur today for the professionals of 66 KVK’s of Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi.

Dr. S.K Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur, in his presidential and key note address stressed upon the preserving of Natural biodiversity and climate resilient technologies for sustainable agriculture. He emphasized that Natural Farming is the most important way and alternate of agro ecological sustainability and to mitigate and address the climate change as well as chemical free agriculture.

Dr. Singh further urged for adaptation of technologies by the farming community. He said that there is need to eliminate chemicals in agriculture gradually, besides this is urgent need to promote reduce the cost of reduction technologies and crops cultivation as well as livestock rearing for empowering the farming families. 

Dr. Hari Om, State Training Organizer, Natural farming Training center, Gurukul, Kurukshetra (Haryana) delivered guest lecture on Natural Farming; Concept, Status & prospect to the participants. Dr. Hari Om emphasized on Zero tillage and conservation farming. He urged to conserve natural resources and revive already depleted natural resources by propagating natural farming to save the soil, water, environment, animal and human health and ultimately overall agro Eco systems.

A part from it the work and progress of the project “Out scaling of Natural Farming through KVK’s” of Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi has also revised and discussed various aspects pertaining to Natural farming.
