Annual Action Plan Workshop on Natural farming for KVKs

ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Guwahati, Zone organized “2-day Annual Action Plan Workshop on Natural farming for KVKs” from 23^rd-24^th November, 2022 for the Krishi Vigyan Kendra officials under Zone VI.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Randhir Singh, Principal Scientist, ICAR – Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research, Karnal, Haryana and former Assistant Director General (Agricultural Extension) stated that Natural Farming should be taken to the grass root level through increased awareness and establishing scientific data from the KVKs.

Earlier Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone VI, Guwahati briefed on the benefits of the adoption of natural farming. Also he urged to implement the five pillars of natural farming in existing farm practices, without much disturbance to the agro-ecosystem.
