ICAR-NIVEDI, Bengaluru celebrates 19th Foundation Day - 2019

1^st July, 2019, Bengaluru

The ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bengaluru celebrated the 19^th Foundation Day today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. H.D. Narayanaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Bidar applauded the Institute’s initiative and services towards the Livestock Disease Epidemiology and their advisory services at the National Level including Karnataka.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. M. Rajasekhar, Founder Director, ICAR-NIVEDI appreciated the Institute’s efforts to bring about the system development for the forewarning of likely occurrence of livestock diseases two months in advance.

The Invited Guest, Dr. Srinivas Reddy, Director, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC), Bengaluru stated that the ICAR-NIVEDI’s activities are in line with those of the Institute and desired to have linkages for getting benefitted mutually.

Dr. Aniket Sanyal, Joint Director, ICAR-IVRI, Bengaluru was also present as the other Invited Guest of the occasion.

Dr. Parimal Roy, Director, ICAR-NIVEDI outlined the milestones of metamorphosis of journey of the Central Unit of AICRP on ADMAS into a National Institute. Dr. Roy also acknowledged the constant support that is being provided by the Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR), Deputy Director General (AS) and SMD for the Institute’s growth.

The dignitaries planted saplings as a mark of Vanamahotsava.

The occasion also held a number of mind-engaging and captivating competitions like Mehendi and Sports Competitions, etc. The winners of different categories of the competitions were bestowed with awards and certificates.
