As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026, being observed from 17 September to 2 October 2026 under the theme “Swachhta Mein Sahbhag – Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ranga Reddy, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad, organised a “Swachh Pathshala – Yuva for Swachhta” awareness programme at Vivekananda Residential High School, Vinayaka Nagar Colony, Hayathnagar, Ranga Reddy District, today.
The programme aimed to sensitise school students about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, personal hygiene and responsible waste management. An awareness speech competition on Swachhta was also organised, providing students with an opportunity to express their views on maintaining clean, hygienic and healthy surroundings.
The students actively participated in a hands-on cleanliness drive, including sweeping, waste removal and cleaning of the school surroundings. The activity helped reinforce the importance of active participation, collective responsibility and sustained efforts in maintaining a clean environment.
The programme concluded with the message “Cleanliness is Everyone’s Responsibility,” encouraging the students and the wider community to embrace cleanliness as a way of life and contribute towards the vision of a Swachh Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
