ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad organized a one-day Sensitization and Awareness Workshop on Kisan Sarathi Kosh under Kisan Sarathi 2.0 at ICAR–CRIDA, Hyderabad today.
Dr V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Kaveri University, Hyderabad, and former Vice-Chancellor of PJTAU, attended the programme as Chief Guest. He underscored the importance of digitization of agricultural databases for future readiness and appreciated the advanced features of Kisan Sarathi 2.0, particularly its multimedia integration. He also emphasized the need for strengthening digital knowledge support systems and urged participants to enhance their capacities in addressing farmers’ issues effectively.

Dr V. K. Singh, Director, ICAR–CRIDA, Hyderabad, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour and emphasized the relevance of Kisan Sarathi as an effective problem-solving platform providing location-specific and practical advisory services.
The inaugural session was chaired by Dr Shaik N. Meera, Director, ICAR–ATARI, Hyderabad, who highlighted the pivotal role of Kisan Sarathi as a digital interface bridging farmers and agricultural experts.
Dr P. P. Murugan, Director, Extension, TNAU, Coimbatore; Dr. Shobhamani, Director, Extension, SVVU, Tirupati; Prof. M. Kishan Kumar, Director, Extension, P. V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, Hyderabad; and Dr Chandra Sekhara, Assistant Director, Extension, PJTAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad also highlighted the importance of Kisan Sarathi 2.0.
Sessions on the three-tier call flow, query management system, service-level agreements (SLAs), and roles and responsibilities of stakeholders under Kisan Sarathi 2.0, including Kisan Sarathi Kosh was also delivered during the programme.

A dedicated session on the new features of Kisan Sarathi 2.0 was conducted by Shri Sailu Mudiraj, Product Manager, Kisan Sarathi, DIC. The programme also included hands-on training and group discussions on Kisan Sarathi Kosh, focusing on commodity-wise content development. Participants actively engaged in addressing farmers’ queries and resolving field-level issues of KVKs.
The programme was attended by 105 participants, including scientists from 72 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), along with staff and scientists of ICAR-ATARI and Directors of Extension Education from State Agricultural Universities.
