PGR Portal Launched

6th December 2012, New Delhi

NBPGR has developed a web-based portal of international standards to facilitate access to information on PGR conserved at National Genebank. PGR Portal has been developed by Agriculture Knowledge Management Unit of NBPGR. The contents of the Portal are a result of cumulative efforts, over the years, of NBPGR scientists and technical personnel.

The Portal was launched on 6th December 2012 by honorable Director General, ICAR and Secretary, DARE Dr. S Ayyappan at a gathering of PCs and PDs of AICRPs at NBPGR. The occasion was graced by senior ICAR officials including Prof. SK Datta, DDG(CS); Dr. KML Pathak, DDG(AS); Dr. MM Pandey, DDG(Engg. and NRM); Dr. KD Kokate, DDG(Ext.); and Dr. N Krishna Kumar, DDG(Hort.).
