Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, Government of Sri Lanka visits ICAR- CIFE ROHTAK Centre

Shri Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic resources development, Government of Sri Lanka visited ICAR-Central Institute on Fisheries Education, Rohtak Centre today. He appreciated the efforts made by the centre in the field of inland saline aquaculture.  Shri Amaraweera visited various research facilities at the Centre.

The minster was accompanied by Dr.R. S. Raizada, Assistant Director General (Fisheries), ICAR and representatives from the ministries of external affairs and Home. 

Dr. Gopal Krishna, Director, ICAR-CIFE briefed on recent achievements and activities of the Centre.

The dignitaries visited selected private shrimp and fish farms located at Anwal and Madina villages, Rohtak (District), Haryana.

Senior Officials of Rohtak District Adminstration, officials and staff of ICAR – CIFE Rohtak were present in the event.
