ICAR-CCARI, Goa participates in “Krishi Mahotsav - 2022”

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa participated in the “Krishi Mahotsav” at Quepem, South Goa and Sakhlim, North Goa organized 4th January and 5th to 6th January, 2022, respectively.

Delivering the inaugural address at Quepem, South Goa, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare appreciated the efforts of the Government of Goa in making Swayampurna Goa and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

In his inaugural address at Sakhlim, North Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, Government of Goa applauded the Institute’s efforts in preparing the vision document on Agriculture and support to Swayampurna Mitras through training on agricultural technologies.

Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Shri Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar, Deputy Chief Minister & Minister of Agriculture, Government of Goa expressed his gratitude for farmers to make Goa to march towards self-sufficiency.

Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa outlined the main objective of the Mahotsav.

The event organized at Quepem, South Goa registered participation by more than 3,000 farmers and more than 4,000 farmers at Sakhlim, North Goa.
