Kisan Mela on the themes of natural farming and millet processing was organized at ICAR - Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur today.
Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture and Union Minister of Tourism highlighted the flagship agriculture programmes of the government for enhancing farmers’ income and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He appreciated the ICAR-CAZRI technologies for arid region and called upon to strengthen small scale processing units of millets and pulses. Earlier, he inaugurated the smart classrooms for students.
Dr S. P. S. Tanwar, Director, ICAR-CAZRI highlighted the institute’s research and extension activities on natural farming for the farming community. Farmers visited ICAR-CAZRI’s research and demonstration units on natural farming, millet processing, technology cafeteria, arid horticulture and diary units.
Technology exhibition stalls were organized by ICAR-CAZRI, central and state government line deparments, private sector, NGOs, innovative famers, entrepreneurs and startups.
