A team of scientists from ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture held an interaction meeting with officials of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mayurbhanj-II and the Agriculture Department of Raruan Block, Government of Odisha, under the Odisha Agriculture Drought Mitigation Programme (OADMP).

The OADMP is funded by the National Disaster Management Fund, New Delhi, through the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Government of Odisha, which serves as the nodal funding agency.
The programme is designed to enhance climate resilience, improve agricultural productivity, and promote crop diversification in Raruan Block of Mayurbhanj district. It specifically targets smallholder, marginal, tribal, women, and youth farmers. The initiative emphasizes science-led planning, convergence of schemes, and community ownership to strengthen livelihoods, reduce distress migration, and ensure sustainable agricultural development in the region.

Senior officials and scientists from ICAR-CRIDA, along with their staff members, actively participated in the interaction meeting to deliberate on effective implementation strategies and collaborative efforts for achieving the programme objectives.
