As part of the nationwide celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the ICAR–Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad, organised a vibrant Unity-in-Diversity Drive at its campus. The event celebrated India’s cultural richness and reaffirmed the spirit of unity and national pride embodied in Vande Mataram.
Staff members from various divisions and sections of the institute participated with great enthusiasm, arriving in traditional attire representing different states of India. Their colourful and diverse costumes transformed the campus into a lively showcase of India’s cultural heritage.

The celebration highlighted the nation’s inherent strength in its diversity, demonstrating how varied languages, customs, and traditions coexist harmoniously. Participants collectively promoted the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” reflecting the inclusive and unifying essence of Vande Mataram.
The programme also featured brief cultural performances, traditional greetings in multiple Indian languages, and group photographs capturing the spirit of pan-Indian unity.
The Unity-in-Diversity Drive at ICAR–CRIDA served as a meaningful reminder of India’s composite cultural identity and the enduring relevance of Vande Mataram. The event strengthened team spirit among staff while spreading a message of patriotism, inclusivity, and cultural harmony.
