Awareness on Livelihood Enhancement of Mithun Farmers through Technology Interventions Organised

ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, Nagaland, successfully organised an Awareness Programme on Livelihood Enhancement of Mithun Farmers through Technology Interventions today at Khehoi village, Niuland, Nagaland today.

Dr Girish Patil S., Director, ICAR NRCM, enlightened the participants about the Centre's efforts in promoting Mithun farming and emphasised the strengths and opportunities for Mithun farming in the village.

Awareness on Livelihood Enhancement of Mithun Farmers through Technology Interventions Organised

Dr H. Inato Jimomi, Joint Director, Department of A.H and Veterinary Services Government of Nagaland, delivered the keynote address on semi-intensive farming, while Dr Narendra V. N. discussed entrepreneurial opportunities within Mithun farming.

The programme also included a Farmer-Scientist Interaction session addressing issues related to piggery and poultry farming. Additionally, medicines were distributed to the farmers at the end of the programme to further support their livestock care.
A total of 80 farmers participated in the programme.
