Awareness Programme on Balanced Fertilizer Use Organised in Andhra Pradesh

ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research, Regional Station, Vemagiri, in association with the Department of Horticulture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, organized an awareness programme on balanced fertilizer use at Baduguvanilanka village in Dr B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh.

The programme aimed to educate farmers on sustainable nutrient management practices for improving soil fertility and enhancing crop productivity. During the session, emphasis was laid on the importance of balanced fertilizer application along with eco-friendly alternatives such as biofertilizers, green manuring, and the use of waste decomposers for maintaining long-term soil health.

Awareness Programme on Balanced Fertilizer Use Organised in Andhra Pradesh

A total of 23 farmers actively participated in the programme. The participants showed keen interest in adopting the recommended practices and interacted with the scientists to clarify their queries.
