ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bengaluru organized a DST-SERB sponsored Karyashala - "A High-End 10 days Workshop on Spatial and Temporal Modeling of Zoonotic Diseases using R" from 22nd to 31st July 2022.
The workshop focused on developing the expertise and strengthening the skills among PG and PhD students in the area of zoonotic disease modeling in the country using R and to develop future leaders in the area.
Dr. B. R. Shome, Director, ICAR-NIVEDI emphasized the importance of zoonotic disease modeling in generating evidence based decisions to policymakers for effective prevention and control of zoonotic diseases in the country.
The workshop was attended by 20 participants, of which 17 students were from Veterinary Science and 3 were from Public Health.
