Training on ‘Scientific Goat Farming’ organised

ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa, ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized a training programme on ‘Scientific Goat Farming’ today at the Sal Training Hall, ICAR-KVK North Goa, Ela, Old Goa.
Matter Specialist in Animal Science, briefed the best goat breeds for Goa, such as Konkan Kanyal, and emphasized scientific farming methods. He covered topics like goat housing design, and feeding strategies, and conducted practical training on low-cost concentrate feed preparation, silage making, and growing hybrid Napier grass. Additionally, Dr Vithalrao provided key insights on medicines for routine health management and disease prevention.
The training programme was coordinated by Dr Udharwar Sanjay Kumar Vithalrao, Shri Rahul Kumar, and Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati.
A total of 12 participants, including 8 males and 4 females, attended the programme.
