A training-cum-field day on soil and water conservation techniques in rainfed areas was organized for the beneficiary farmers under Farmer FIRST Project today. The programme was held at Gangupally village, Vikarabad District of Telangana state.
Dr. G. Nirmala, Principal scientist (Agril. Extension) & PI, FFP briefed about the programme.
Lectures on Soil and water conservation techniques, Farm mechanization in small farm holdings, Horticultural techniques in rainfed crops and Livestock production and Management were delivered by the experts.
A field trip was conducted to farmers’ field and farm pond.
Thirty farmers participated in the program.
