Training-cum-demonstration on Nano Urea & DAP foliar nutrition using Drone

ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, under ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, North Goa, organized a training-cum-demonstration on nano urea & DAP foliar nutrition using an agri drone on January 30, 2025, at Benaulim, South Goa. 

 

The experts delivered an insightful session on Precision Agriculture and Crop Monitoring and Health Assessment using drones covering critical aspects of Soil Health and Irrigation Management. They also emphasized how drones can revolutionize the way farmers monitor soil quality and optimize water usage, ensuring sustainable farming practices. 

A discussion on planting, seed distribution, yield estimation, and harvest prediction was organized, with presentations highlighting the role of drones in automating these processes. The use of drones was demonstrated to provide farmers with accurate predictions, thereby enhancing overall crop productivity. 

The session marked a significant step in bridging the gap between technology and agriculture, equipping the next generation of farmers with the tools and knowledge to optimize crop production, improve sustainability, and drive the future of farming. 

A total of 9 participants attended and gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in using drones for precision agriculture. 

The program was coordinated by Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati, Shri Rahul Kumar, and Dr N. Bommayasamy, ensuring a seamless execution and a productive learning environment for all attendees.
