Trainers’ Training Series on “Improved Production Technology for Quality Jute Fibre Production” concludes at ICAR-CRIJAF, Barrackpore

The Training Series organized by the ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Barrackpore, Kolkata for the Block Supervisors and Master Trainers of Jute-ICARE Project from 2nd to 14th June, 2022 concluded today.

The Chief Guest, Shri M.C. Chakraborty, Jute Commissioner applauded the on-going Jute-ICARE activities for the yield and quality enhancement of Jute which results in the benefit of the jute farmers and the nation seeing the burgeoning demand of Jute products in the national and international markets.

Shri A.K. Jolly, Managing Director, JCI, Kolkata urged the trainees to spread the knowledge gained from the training programmes amongst the farmers as much as possible.

Dr. Gouranga Kar, Director, ICAR-CRIJAF, Barrackpore asserted that the experiential learning through the training programmes would contribute to the performance up-gradation of the project staffs for educating and assisting the farmers in adopting the improved Jute production technologies. Dr. Kar also encouraged the trainees to report their success stories properly for enabling the people know what a huge field activity are being carried out under the Project with ICAR-CRIJAF technologies.
