Skill Development Programme on “Chicken Products Processing”

10th -13th April 2023, Hyderabad

ICAR-National Meat Research Institute, Hyderabad organized a four-day Skill Development Programme on “Chicken Products Processing” from April 10-13, 2023 to encourage future entrepreneurs.

The program was sponsored by Snehakunja Trust, Anantapur, and AP MAS, Hyderabad in collaboration with Atal Incubation Centre, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuram, AP.

Dr. S. B. Barbuddhe, Director, ICAR – NMRI, Hyderabad, inaugurated the program. He interacted with the participants during the valedictory function with the participants and assured them that the institute will be ready to handhold them by providing technical know-how as and when required.

The training focused on slaughtering and dressing of poultry, further processing and value addition to chicken, and their marketing. More than 18 value-added chicken meat products were demonstrated to the participants during training.

A total of nine trainees (Six men and three women) from Andhra Pradesh, participated in the training.
