The ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai organized the Skill-cum-Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme on “Aquafeed Preparation Techniques and Quality Control” from 25th to 27th May, 2022.
Interacting with the trainees, Dr. K.P. Jithendran, Director, ICAR-CIBA, Chennai stressed on the significance of the feed in aquaculture and the pioneering role played by ICAR-CIBA in the sector.
The programme was aimed at offering the skill development in the indigenous aqua feed formulation, feed processing using extruder and pelletizer and feed management for sustainable brackishwater aquaculture.
A total of 26 participants from 9 States of the country with diverse professional backgrounds like Farm Managers, Potential Entrepreneurs, Farm Owners, Feed Mill Technicians, Academicians and Aqua Input Suppliers participated in the programme.
