Training Programmes for “Nursery Growers, Supporting Staff and Horticulture Officers of Himachal Pradesh” organized

The ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir organized the three Training Programmes for “Horticulture Development Departments Officials, Supporting Staff of Horticulture and Nursery Growers of Himachal Pradesh” from 15th November to 17th December, 2021.

The 1st Training Programme was organized for the Supporting Staff of Horticulture Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on “Technical Skill Improvement for enhancing Farm Output”  from 15th to 19th November, 2021 followed by seven-day Training Programme for Horticulture Officers on “Enhancing Productivity through Advanced Technological Interventions in Temperate Fruit Crops” from 1st to 7th December, 2021.

The Institute also organized the five-day Training Programme for Nursery Growers on “Quality Planting Material Production Technologies in Temperate Fruit Crops for enhancing farm income of Nursery Growers of Himachal Pradesh” from 13th to 17th December, 2021.

The participants from the various Districts of Himachal Pradesh were apprised about the latest developments in the Temperate Horticulture. They were also provided with the hands-on-training on the different techniques involved in plant propagation, multiplication, canopy management, layout method and vertical nursery production, etc., during the occasion.

The programmes were aimed at creating the awareness about the latest developments in temperate horticulture and improve the technical skills.
