ICAR Showcases Technologies at Pride of India Expo
Indian Council of Agricultural Research is participating in the Pride of India Expo concurrently organized with the 103rd Indian Science Congress at University of Mysore, Mysore. The exhibition was inaugurated today and focuses on the theme “Science and Technology for Indigenous Development in India”.
Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR visited the ICAR Pavilion and appreciated the contents and attractive presentation.
ICAR has showcased its technologies in the frontier areas of research including biotechnology, climate resilience in agriculture and management of natural resources. Special sections have been created on horticulture, pulses, oilseeds and spices to demonstrate latest achievements in these fields. A section is devoted to highlight major features of the new schemes of ICAR which have been launched recently aiming farmers’ welfare.
A large number of public is visiting the ICAR Pavilion including students, young researchers and entrepreneurs. The Expo will continue till 7 January, 2016
