Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR) inaugurated the “ICAR-NAARM as a Think Tank of ICAR: Scoping Workshop” organized by the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad today. The main aim of the workshop was to delineate the roadmap for transitioning the Academy to the credible Think Tank of the ICAR.
Dr. Mohapatra urged for deliberating on devising the Institutional framework and mechanism for transforming the ICAR-NAARM as the Think Tank.
Besides, Dr. K. Alagusundaram, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering and Natural Resource Management), several distinguished researchers along with Former Directors of ICAR Institutes and other organizations viz., MANAGE, NIRD, PJTSAU, ANGRAU and WALMATRI participated in the deliberations.
Dr. J.C. Katyal, Former Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR. Dr. Katyal elaborated on the innovation management as the primary goal of the Think Tank.
Earlier, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM briefed about the Workshop’s objectives. He also stated about the efforts being undertaken by the Academy in this direction.
