Publications of DWSR Released

Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR released two publications of Directorate of Weed Science Research, Jabalpur during 6th National Conference on KVK-2011 (3-5, December, 2011) in presence of dignitaries.

The first publication “Shaknashi Rasayano Dwara Kharpatwar Prabandhan” in Hindi highlights the scientific and judicious use of herbicides in crops and non-crop situation, application technique and their safety. 

Another product is the e-Module “Weeds Seed Identification” software that will be helpful to assist those who attempt to identify weeds by their seed characteristics. To aid the user, colour illustrations of each species along with seed characters are provided in this software. It can be searched/query by scientific name, common name, seed thumbnail etc.
