3rd Winter Student Workshop on Natural Resins and Gums was organized by Transfer of Technology Division, ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums, Ranchi during 16-28 February, 2015. Eleven Postgraduate students of Forestry from Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh participated in the workshop.
Training was imparted on processing of natural resins like lac, rosin, oleo-reins and their industrial applications. Students were also educated about seed and exudates gums: harvesting, tapping, collection, processing, quality control and their industrial uses. Students were also exposed to horticulture, tasar culture, forestry and allied activities.
