The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha organized the Farmer’s-Scientists’-Interface Meeting on “Enhancing Income of Rural Women through Improved Animal Husbandry Practices” at Jirabadi, Jagannath Prasad, Ganjam District, Odisha today.
Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar applauded the work undertaken by the Institute’s Scientists in the remote areas of Ganjam District on fodder cultivation, goat farming and other livestock interventions.
Around 25 Farm Women were distributed the various inputs and women-friendly agricultural tools and implements under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan programme during the occasion.
The programme was organized as a part of the “Bharat ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
