Dr. B.N. Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR laid the Foundation Stone for the Farmers’ Training-cum-Student’s Hostel and Community Hall at the ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru, Karnataka today. Dr. Tripathi urged to organize Brainstorming Sessions on Challenges faced by the Animal Science Sector. He also visited the Centre for Climate Resilient Animal Adaptation Studies and discussed about the on-going research activities involving the comparison of various goat breeds for their climate resilience.
The hostel will facilitate the students pursuing their Masters and Ph. D. Degree Programmes at the Institute.
Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, Director of the Institute highlighted the various achievements, awards, recognition, technology generated and commercialized by the Institute.
Around 5 Technical Publications along with a Brochure on Body condition score for goats and ICAR-NIANP Calendar containing various farmers’ friendly advisories were released by the Chief Guest during the occasion.
The staff members and retired staff members of the Institute participated in the event.
