The closing ceremony of the 10-day course on beekeeping from August 5th to August 14th, 2023 course was conducted along with the 77th Independence Day celebration at ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research (DFR), Pune.
Dr. K.V. Prasad, Director of ICAR-DFR Pune, the esteemed chief guest, emphasized the significance of bees, their ecosystem services for humanity, and the role of bee-friendly flora. He also motivated the participants by sharing diverse success stories related to entrepreneurship. Over the span of a 10-day course, participants received training on different aspects of beekeeping.They were also educated about beekeeping as a avenue for entrepreneurship and various schemes of banks

A total of 137 participants attended the program and made it successful. The programe was coordinated by Dr. D. M. Firake of DFR, Pune.
The budding beekeepers and future entrepreneurs were distributed the training completion certificate with the hand of the Chief Guest of the program .
