A 21-day Winter School "Application of Weather Information for Climate Resilient Farming" was inaugurated today at ICAR- Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Rajbir Singh, Assistant Director General (AAFCC), emphasised ongoing extreme weather events. He accentuated the significant role of ICAR-CRIDA, AICRPAM, and NICRA in promoting climate-resilient agriculture in India and abroad.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, emphasised the importance of CRIDA in conducting climate-resilient agriculture research and the contribution of AICRPAM in designing and disseminating timely and accurate agromet advisories in the country.
A total of, 25 scientists/faculties of various disciplines from ICAR Institutes, SAUs, and KVKs representing 11 states of the country participated in the Winter School.
