The Capacity Building Programme on “Entrepreneurship Development and Livelihood Improvement through Training and Demonstration of Ornamental Fish Culture” was organized by the ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa here today. The Programme was organized in association with the NABARD.


Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa highlighted the potential of the Ornamental Fish Culture as a livelihood option and the sector’s contributions to the growth of the country.
A group of 20 Fishermen from Diwar Island, Goa were benefited with the knowledge on the various Ornamental Fish Culture Systems and their management.
The Programme was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
