The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tapi, Gujarat in collaboration with the IFFCO organized the “Farm Women Training Programme” to celebrate the National Nutrition Month - 2020 today.
In his inaugural address, Shri Prabhubhai Vasava, Member of Parliament, 23 - Bardoli emphasized on the balanced diet’s role in human health.
Shri R.J. Halani, I.A.S., Collector, Tapi, Gujarat emphasized on the importance of balanced diet in human health. He also urged the beneficiaries to adopt the practices of Nutri Kitchen Gardens. Shri Halani accentuated on using the value-added products for overcoming the malnutrition.
Shri Hitesh Joshi, G.A.S., S.D.M., Tapi, Gujarat outlined the importance of medicinal plants and nutrients in increasing the immunity.
Shri S.A. Dodia, Deputy DDO, Tapi, Gujarat highlighted the food habits adopted by the tribal people and emphasized on a balanced diet.
The Nutri Kitchen Garden Kits containing 10 different types of vegetable seeds along with drumstick plants were distributed to 42 Anganwadi Workers and 28 Tribal Farm Women during the programme.
A total of 70 Anganwadi Workers and Tribal Farm Women actively participated in the programme.
