The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim, Maharashtra organized the Sensitization Workshop on “Organic and Biological Inputs Production and Use” in the adopted Village - Gaiwal of Karanja Block today.
In his inaugural address, Dr. R.L. Kale, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Washim highlighted the importance of organic farming and the KVK’s role in up-scaling the decomposing, vermi-composting and application of vermin-wash & Gokrupa in the liquid form.
Dr. Vinod Khadse, Extension Agronomist, Dr. P.D.K.V., Akola, Maharashtra provided the technical tips on the recycling of farm waste, importance of de-composting, bio-dynamic method, scientific production of vermi-composting, uses of IPM practices, pheromone traps and sticky trap. The need of women’s collective in the form of FPOs was stressed by Dr. Khadse.
Shri Satish A. Raut, Sarpanch, Gaiwal Village also marked his presence during the occasion.
