Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim participated in Jay Anant Krishi Mahostav 2022, Risod during 6th – 8th November 2022.
This event was organized with focus on providing platform for marketing the product of women SHGs and to sensitize youths and school children about the rural culture and traditions with special theme about livelihood in farming community.
The Chief Guest, Shri Annatrao Deshmukh, former member of Parliament, emphasized on the capacity building of SHGs and importance of backward and forward linkages for sustaining the rural livelihood. Shri. Deshmukh briefed about the various activities demonstrated and organized which includes rural culture, artisans, village culture and economic activities, social programs and historic pathway of educational institute run under his leadership. He also urged the farmers and SHGs to upcoming with new innovative ideas and stressed on sustaining rural livelihood activities.
The KVK, Wasim and five SHGs demonstrated the major location specific technologies on water conservation, Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Swachata Hi Seva, Natural farming and integrated farming modules and success stories of farmers.
Technology modules about vermi composting, dashparni ark, soybean based value added products, hand operated farm implements, processed fruits and food products, various publications etc.
Around 433 farmers and farm women participated in the event.
