Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR), virtually inaugurated the Dhansiri Residential Complex at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Assam, in the esteemed presence of Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director and Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-IARI.
In his address, Dr Pathak lauded ICAR-IARI Assam for its rapid development of state-of-the-art facilities and emphasized that the institute was established with the vision of becoming a center of excellence in research, teaching, and extension in Northeast India and neighboring countries. He stressed the importance of students and teachers in shaping the institute’s future and expressed confidence that ICAR-IARI Assam would emerge as a leading educational institution in the country.
Dr Rao expressed gratitude to Dr Pathak for his ongoing support and guidance in developing the state-of-the-art facilities at IARI-Assam. He accentuated that the inauguration of the residential quarters at the campus would greatly uplift the morale of the scientists and bring vibrancy to the campus.
After the virtual inauguration of the residential complex, Dr Rao along with all the staff and dignitaries visited the residential complex area to unveil the foundation stone. The residential complex is being developed by National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC).
The programme was attended by all the joint Directors of ICAR-IARI, all the staff of IARI Assam and officers from NPCC.
