A one-day training program was jointly organized by ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur and ICAR-ATARI, Jabalpur today at Sausar tehsil, Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh.


The training program was organised under the APEDA sponsored project "Capacity Development Programme on Adoption of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) for citrus farmers”.
Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur and Chief Guest briefed overall situation of citrus industry in India and highlighted the importance of selection of land, rootstock, planting materials, and following a scientific package of practices for the citrus cultivation. Dr. Ghosh emphasized the importance of Mrig bahar crop for better export of Nagpur mandarin fruits.
A total of 78 trainees participated in the program.
