ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur organized a training programme on 'Improved Production Technology of Citrus' under the Tribal Sub-Plan for 39 tribal farmers from the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra today. Facilitated by the Maharashtra Police Department, this initiative aims to empower tribal farmers with advanced knowledge and skills to enhance their citrus production.

Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, emphasized the organization's dedication to supporting tribal communities through initiatives aimed at enhancing their livelihoods and promoting advanced citricultural practices.

The training focused on key aspects of citriculture, including planting systems, soil management, irrigation practices, and plant protection. It provided farmers with tools to optimize their citrus production. The training also highlighted the potential of agri-drones in citrus plantations, demonstrating their potential in optimizing inputs and enhancing farm efficiency.
