Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management) laid the foundation stone of the administrative building of KVK West Tripura, Belbari today.

Dr. Chaudhari in his address apprised the farmers about the significance and role played by the KVKs in the livelihood improvement of the farming community.

ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata -KVK Interaction Meeting (online) was organized today.

All the Heads of 59 KVKs of Odisha, West Bengal and A&N Islands under the jurisdiction of ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata joined in this meeting.

A Mushroom spawn production unit established at ICAR-KVK-Alappuzha under ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod with funding support from State Horticulture Mission (Kerala) was inaugurated by Shri. P. Prasad, Minister for Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala today.

17th February 2023, Wayanad

Rural marketing mall was inaugurated in the premises of the KVK Wayanad today. All the inputs produced by KVK like biofertilizers, biocontrol agents, entomopathogens, sampoorna, Eka, seeds, value added products and planting materials are made available to farming community through this mall.

13th January 2023, Khordha

Krishi Vigyan Kendra–Khordha and ICAR- Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar jointly organized an awareness training programme on “Value addition in finger millet” at KVK-Khordha today.

The objective of the training was to create awareness among the farm women about the nutritional value of the finger millet and the skill of preparing value-added products from it. This programme was supported by   Dharitri Krushak Sanghatan, Rajas, Balipatna Block, Khordha District.

Gadmal is an endemic underutilized pulse crop that is being grown by the tribes of village Damjipura, Bhimpur block of Betul district fits as a sandwich crop for the kharif cafeteria. As the pulse crop is highly delicious and is being used by the tribes in their several local religious events. The area under this crop is reducing day by day due to many biotic and abiotic stresses.
