ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organised a ten-day self-sponsored training on “Manufacture of Jute hand bag” valedictory-cum-certificate distribution programme today.
Dr. D. B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, stressed upon the needs of innovative design & patterns for manufacturing of different bags to meet the day today market requirement. He also offered trainees the chance to learn about stitching jute bags using institute facilities.
Prof. (Dr.) B.K. Behera, Professor, Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering, IIT Delhi, urged the use of advanced software to get different bag designs with different colour combinations for more attractive and systematic output.
Dr. A. N. Roy, Former Head, Transfer of Technology division, addressed the trainee participants regarding the market demand of jute bags in place of plastic bags. He also informed the participants about the upcoming events like entrepreneurship development programme to be organized by the institute.
A Total of nine participants have joined the training Programme.
