ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, conducted a collaborative online training programme in association with the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, Hyderabad on ‘Innovations in production, value addition and marketing of spices in India’ from 10th-14th June 2024.

The training program was inaugurated by Dr. D. Prasath, Director in Charge & Project Coordinator, ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode.

Dr. Shalendra, Director (Agricultural Marketing), MANAGE, Hyderabad presided over the inaugural session in the presence of Dr. V Srinivasan, Head, Division of Crop Production & PHT.

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge of researchers and extension officers in the Department of Agriculture and other spice sector departments, focusing on advancements in cultivation, value addition, and marketing of spices to improve farmers' livelihoods and well-being.

A total of 40 participants from 8 states, attended 18 lectures delivered during the training programme.
