ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal organizes Animal Health and Productivity Week

To commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence, the ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana organized a Programme on “Animal Health and Productivity” today.

During the programme, a group of 35 farmers were provided with the animal mixture and animal mat along with Advisories on maintaining and improving animal health with best feeding and shelter management practices. Simultaneously, the same Advisory (developed with the support of ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal) along with precautionary measures to be taken with regard to COVID-19 was provided to a group of 753 farmers on WhatsApp.

In his address, Dr. P.C. Sharma, Director, ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal outlined about the conduct of 3 programmes - Word Water Day (22nd March, inaugurated by Dr. Gurbachan Singh, Former Chairman, ASRB, New Delhi); Standardizing Bioengineering measures for soil and water conservation (3 Webinars from 21st to 22nd April, 2021) and Augmenting Rural Income (World Bee Day on 20th May, 2021) by the Institute with participation by 1,654 different stakeholders.
