Awareness Programme on Fostering Entrepreneurial Education to the Students of SRSIAT, Tamil Nadu

ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, in collaboration with the SRS Institute of Agriculture & Technology, an affiliated college of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore organized an awareness programme on fostering entrepreneurial education to the students of SRSIAT, Vedasandur today. This virtual event aimed to inspire students and young professionals to explore the potential of entrepreneurial opportunities within the agricultural sector.

Dr D. Raja, Principal and Dean, SRSIAT praised NAARM's initiative to extend entrepreneurial education to all universities and emphasized the importance of aligning the curriculum with academic and entrepreneurial aspirations of students.

Dr Ramasubramanian V, Head, Research Systems Management, and acting JD, highlighted the emerging trends in agricultural entrepreneurship and the potential of agri-startups to transform the industry.

Dr Vijay Avinashilingam, Additional CEO, a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad delivered an in-depth presentation on “How to Develop an Entrepreneurial Mind-set in Education”, covering the steps involved in launching an agribusiness, from ideation to incubation and scaling.

Shri Susanth Masana, Founder & CEO, Farm Sathi & an entrepreneur, who shared his journey of integrating robotics into farming to improve farmers' productivity.

About 275 students and faculty members virtually participated in the programme.
